Modular Screening plants
There are three main uses for screens on a coal plant, namely pre-screening or primary screening, classification or grading and dewatering.
Pre-screening or primary screening is carried out on ROM coal, either prior to crushing, to remove a particular size fraction that may not require washing or to classify the coal into the required sizes for the different washing sections of the plant.
Classification is the process whereby the washed coal is separated into the various size fractions as demanded by the market. Dewatering is the process by which process water or medium is recovered from the products of a washing unit for re-use. With our vast experience, Portaclone can advise you of the exact size and type of screen required to suit any duty.
